- 1. I started with a blank white document. I used the granite tool to make it gray. I then went to the filter gallery and chose texturizer. I then shoes the sandstone texture so that the image had the texture of a rock. I then opened the hills image and positioned it on the background to my liking. I then added a masking layer and took out the sky that I didn’t want. After doing this, I used the same sandstone texture that I used on the background. This way it looked like someone painted the hills on the stone. I then took the paining of the Native American and positioned it onto the canvas. I added a masking layer to this image and removed the areas I didn’t want. I textured this image so that it looked like the rest of the canvas and the Native American looked like he was painted on. I used the circle selection tool to make the sun behind the Native American because that part of the image looked empty. I then used the text tool to create my text. I went into the text preferences and messed around with the bevel and shadow options until I got the effect that looked like someone chiseled the text into the rock. I saved the image as a jpg and a Photoshop file.
