IBM Site and Facilities Services Portfolio The IBM site and facilities services service product line provides expertise to assist clients with evaluating, designing, implementing and managing their IT infrastructure and physical environments. The services include: IBM Data Center and Facilities Strategy Services -- builds on an IBM consulting methodology that determines the capacity, availability and security requirements of the client's data center facility. Through this service, we help clients mitigate operational risk, enable business continuity and align IT with business requirements, as well as help address compliance with regulatory mandates and privacy laws. IBM IT Facilities Assessment, Design and Construction Services -- enables the creation of stable, security-rich, future-ready data centers and enterprise command center facilities. The risk and complexity associated with building a new data center or updating a facility can be minimized by capitalizing on our project experience -- experience we've acquired by building literally hundreds of data centers that we rely on every day, in addition to the long list of projects we’ve executed for clients around the globe. IBM IT Facilities Consolidation and Relocation Services -- leverages IBM methodology and extensive, hands-on experience to help clients make optimal investments that deliver availability, scalability, recoverability and agility throughout their data center transitions. Our approach enables clients to minimize the inherent risk and complexity associated with migrations of their data center environments while planning for the future. IBM Specialized Facilities Services -- includes the IT and industry knowledge essential for project design and integration relevant to intelligent building and green building construction, as well as factory automation, clean room, trading room and facility management control systems. Specialized Facilities Services provides advanced solutions and products in IT hardware, networks, control systems and subsystems. Solutions can provide global and regional support infrastructures for multinational clients.

- #6: Now that you have seen some of the results we were able to work with our clients to obtain, let’s take a quick look at IBM's experience and expertise in the data center area and some of our own results. The top of the chart highlights IBM’s internal experience and what we’ve done over the last ten years. As you can see, we have significantly reduced, consolidated and rationalized our data center infrastructures around the world. We have gone from 155 host data centers to 7 primary centers today. From 80 Web hosting Centers To 5 primary Web hosting Centers today. from 31 networks to 1 network today, from 15,000 applications to about 4,700 of applications today. That rationalization of our 800,000 square meters of data center space that we offer ourselves, our strategic outsourcing clients and our BCRS clients around the world is saving IBM 1.5 billion dollars a year in operational cost savings. So we have very deep expertise in that area. The bottom of the page talks about how we take this expertise to our clients who are not necessarily just our strategic outsourcing client or BCRS clients. We have over 3,300 people just in the server, storage, and datacenter services practices that can help our clients with all these things. We have deep expertise in designing and building data centers around the world. We built over 3 million square meters of raised floor for our clients around the world. We are currently finishing the largest data center for a client in Egypt, we just completed the largest data center for a client in India, we are building about 20 data centers in China at any one time. So, we have this expertise and not just in the traditional environments but also in the high growth environments around the world. And we also have incredibly deep expertise in virtualization for the clients, where we virtualize hundreds of thousands of servers and storage devices for our clients.
