Rhythm n Bass magazine targets working and middle class teenagers and young adults because the founder identifies with that audience and knows the music they enjoy. The magazine is named Rhythm n Bass because the title combines the letters R and B to represent an R&B genre magazine. The founder chose to focus on R&B after being inspired by the layout, colors, and style of other successful R&B magazines like VIBE.

- 1. My magazine ‘Rhythm n Bass’ is aimed at working class/middle class teenagers, and young adults. I aimed it at this particular audience because I myself am included in this category and know what type of music this age range like in today’s society. I named my magazine ‘Rhythm n Bass’ because I thought the name suited really well as an RnB magazine, so I thought of two words beginning with the letter R an B and this is what I came up with in the end. I chose to do an RnB magazine because looking at other RnB magazines such as VIBE really inspired me to pick that genre. Looking at the VIBE magazine interested me in several different ways for example: the way the magazine itself was laid out, use of colours, costume and props used etc. Rhythm n Bass
