The paper presents a system for border surveillance utilizing smartdust technology, which consists of tiny wireless sensor motes equipped with multiple sensors for detecting various signatures indicative of intrusion. The project involves the design of two sensor motes and a central monitoring mote that communicate through a wireless network to track and report significant intrusions in real-time. The proposed system aims to address the limitations of existing surveillance methods, offering improved safety, maintainability, and coverage in monitoring difficult terrain.
