If You Have To Leave Do It Graciously Part 2
- 1. IF YOU HAVE TO LEAVE, DO IT GRACIOUSLY! -Part 2 Change comes with adjustments. When King Uzziah of Judah passed on, Prophet Isaiah saw the Lord seated on His throne. Isaiah 6. I believe, through this lesson the LORD is teaching us that the best place to focus is on Him (Jesus) when earthly things do not satisfy. It could also help us to understand that nothing earthly is permanent. It will at one point end. But God’s leadership is intact. He was comfortably seated in His throne even though this great King had passed on. If we draw close to Him in Word and Prayer He will definitely handle other areas where we are lacking.
- 2. Good change does not do away with good values but with evil. Like in marriage relationships there must be ‘give and takes.’ There are sacrifices to be made. It is not prudent to replace godly values with evil ones. You cannot embrace hatred and abandon love and think that you are moving in the right direction. Wise people must al- ways protect values that hold us together as humankind. There are activities that bring us together regardless of our diverse affiliations. Sport- ing activities like soccer, athletics, Rugby, Cricket and others bring people together from all walks of life. If well managed, it is an ex- cellent way of promoting peaceful co-existence amongst people.
- 3. In the recent past we have seen nations seeking to have an upper hand in managing their affairs independently without interference from else- where. BREXIT sent shock waves around the world. United Kingdom un- der the new Prime Minister Teresa May is currently in the process of pulling out of the European Union. Among the things that seem to have contribut- ed to this process is emigration. The United Kingdom wants her to secure her borders that have been made ‘porous ‘by intruders from other Eu- ropean nations who want to enter UK. US of America’s recent election with President Donald Trump being elected to the White House has left many tongue-tied. Throughout his campaign, he promised to build a boundary wall between US and Mexico to keep what he alleges as bad people at bay.
- 4. This is troubling news to Mexicans who depends on America as a big brother. If this is construction meant to hinder drug peddlers and criminal gangs, from spoiling innocent people especially the youngsters is positive. What is important is to maintain good relationship between these two na- tions. This can happen with or without the wall. If US President Donald Trump is sincerely talking about establishing Order on the border that should not be considered bad news. This would ensure adequate security. Human beings seem to be running away from something …or under pursuit of some- thing better. But it is some- times risky. Many emigrants have often perished in the Mediterranean Sea on the way to Europe where they believe they will have better life.
- 5. These refugees come from war torn re- gions of the world like Middle East and some parts of Africa. Any CHANGE would be either positive or catastrophic. It depends on the disci- pline of those who implement the change and the subjects as a whole. People must pull together towards making life better for all. Those who want to separate or isolate themselves into different enti- ties should do it graciously. They should not use their freedom to promote evil. The bond of love for one another should never be broken but enhanced.
- 6. After birth, umbilical cord should be trimmed wisely by an expert. The wound is not just left open. It is tied and proper med- ication administered. There is also time for healing until a child transition to a new feeding procedure. Separation normally leaves some parties wounded. The wise will en- sure that these wounds are oiled and any necessary remedies availed. Before Jesus ascended into heaven, he promised to send the Holy Spirit to comfort his disciples. He did not leave them as orphans. Those who separate themselves and leave people licking wounds are com- mitting abomination. Silver cord is loosed when one leaves this world. It is done in an orderly manner so that one’s destination is clear. It determines one’s next home in eternity. To be safe, one must connected to Jesus Christ.
- 7. “…For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets. Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.” Eccl. 12:5-6 History teaches us that there are times people might be united or isolated for selfish reasons. The Tower of Babel is a good example. These people wanted to live in one region without moving elsewhere. Genesis 11:1-7. The LORD had commanded them to multiply fill the earth and subdue it. If they continued unhin- dered, it would negate God’s purpose for their life. God’s WILL is supreme. Prayer: Dear God, I come you a sinner, please forgive all my sins. I reject satan and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour now. Wash me clean with the precious Blood of Jesus. Thank you for saving me. Write my name in the Book of Life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and Power and cause me to be a witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ holy name I pray and believe. Amen! Designed by Ken L. T
