This document presents a study on improving transient stability in power systems through the integration of virtual synchronous generators (VSG) with auxiliary damping control (ADC). The research focuses on utilizing the center of inertia (COI) concept to analyze the effects of VSG on the dynamics of microgrid systems, highlighting significant enhancements in stability during disturbances. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed VSG integration and control modifications lead to improved control and reduced fluctuations in power and frequency, positively impacting overall system stability.
