IMS LODE aims to facilitate discovery and retrieval of learning content stored in repositories by combining specifications. It includes profiles for harvesting metadata, querying, and exchanging learning object information. ASPECT implements an open source LODE registry and provides services through its LRE Service Center like metadata translation, format transformation, and compliance testing to support interoperability. The services aim to improve adoption of learning technology standards.
