What hardware and infrastructure will deliver? - Broadcast Signage -- mockups, broad participation involved in placement/size - PATHFINDER -- Specialized monitors to meet the needs of the information - On Demand systems integrated with physical architecture - Use common tools when possible (Saft for web kiosking, VNC monitoring, etc.) Communications Mode Software Platform Content Sources & Workflow
What is the content? Where can we get it? Quality and relevant content is a key ingredient! - Broadcast Signage -- integrated into Design dept’s workflow, with 2 XML feeds - PATHFINDER -- Pulls information from enterprise systems and XML feeds - On Demand systems -- commissioned video production Communications Mode Software Platform Hardware & Infrastructure

PATHFINDER

Having lived in Chicago for many years, I have visited the Art Institute more times than I can recall. Your panorama views of the various areas are impressive, as is "Pathfinder.” To visit a museum is a tremendous experience, to virtually tour a museum isn't too far away. -Bob Polson, MT
