Meaning of Interview
O A meeting of people face to face , Especially for a
consultation.
O A somewhat formal discussion between a hirer and
an applicant or candidate, typically in person, in
which information is exchanged, with the intention of
establishing the applicant’s suitability for a position.
O A formal meeting in which one or more persons
question, consult, or evaluate another person.

Meaning of Interview
O Interview is probably the most widely used selection
tool.
O The interview is a selection technique which enables
the employer to view the total individual and directly
appraise his or her behaviour.
O It is a method by which an idea about an applicant’s
personality. (including intelligence, general attitude, interesting things, etc.)

Your Attire
O Dressed formally and well groomed.
O You will never get the second chance to make a good
impression.
O Wear something that make you feel comfortable.
O Scents, perfumes, aftershave lotion should be avoided.
O Use simply accessories like watches, ties etc.

How to prepare for a job Interview ?
O The first activity focuses on the identification
of new job opportunities.
O Second is the preparation of Resume.
O And the third activity is focuses on job
interview itself.

Know the company
O Main product or services.
O Annual sales, profit, dividend, etc.
O Competitors.
O Area of operations.
O New product or services launched.

Evolution of the Employer
O Self-confidence : you should be confidant while appearing
the interview.
O Interpersonal skills : fluency on English, listening skills,
answering the questions, etc.

O I am a fresher. Salary is not first priority for me. This is a big
platform to start my career and I also want to improve my
knowledge and skills and gain experience. So I expect a
considerable of salary according to my ability and your
company’s norms which will fulfil my economical need.
O I have 5 years of experience in teaching field. My current
package is 3 lacks per annum, the salary has newer been a big
issues for me. Still I am expecting salary as company’s norms
as per my designation and my qualification and experience
which can help me to maintain the standard of level of my
personal and economical needs.
