- 3. Introduction: Navigating the Library Website Click on your campus under Today’s Hours for a day-by-day calendar with the library hours and reference desk hours. Find additional information About the Libraries. Keep up to date with library news and events on the Library News feed. You can also get news about the JCC Libraries from our Facebook page.
- 4. Search for Books– find books and other materials available from the JCC Libraries. Introduction: Navigating the Library Website eBooks - find eBooks, including popular titles, from our eBook collections.

Introduction: Navigating the Library Website The Quick Search Boxes allow you to: • search the JCC Libraries’ Catalog for books and other materials. • Click on the EDS tab to find articles in the EDS Discovery Service database using a keyword search. • look for the name of any Journal, Magazine, or Newspaper to see where you can get access via the library databases or in the library print collection. • The Search tab is for information on the Library website (this search option does NOT include the library catalog or databases).
- 6. Introduction: Navigating the Library Website Other Catalogs – provides a list of links for locating books and other materials owned by local, regional, and national libraries. Databases by Title or by Subject – search for articles found in magazines, journals, newspapers, encyclopedias and other resources available in the JCC Libraries’ subscription databases.
- 7. Introduction: Navigating the Library Website Journals – find a magazine, journal or newspaper by title or subject in the databases or the library print collection. If you already have a citation, use LinkSource Citation Finder to find a full-text article in the databases. LibGuides – these Web-based, multimedia research guides have been created by the JCC Librarians to provide links to relevant library and Web resources.

Use the Libraries: • Borrow, Renew, Request – review the libraries’ circulation policies, including fines for overdue materials. • Interlibrary Loan – find out how to borrow materials from other libraries. • Tools & Gadgets– download the JCC Libraries' Online Catalog Mobile Interface to your smartphone. - 9. Use the Libraries: • Ask a Reference Question – provides contact information for your campus library’s reference desk. Also, links to AskUs24/7 (a cooperative of librarians that can answer questions 24/7) and LibAnswers (a list of FAQs) Quick links to these services can be found on the main page. • Writing/Citing Guides – provides a list of links to websites providing assistance with MLA/APA style, grammar guides, etc. Introduction: Navigating the Library Website
- 10. Course Readings – provides links to a select collection of reserve readings assigned by faculty. Materials are arranged by course. Internet Sources – provides links to websites selected by the JCC Librarians for their reliability and subject coverage. Introduction: Navigating the Library Website Introduction to Research– A research guide that goes through the steps of the research process and provides examples of how and where to search for information.
