This document provides instructions for students to access and navigate the Blackboard online learning platform at DMU. It outlines two ways for students to access Blackboard via the university website or library page, both of which will direct users to the single sign-on page. From there, students enter their student ID number and password to access the welcome page, where they can select their module. The document then describes the various tabs in Blackboard for help resources, course materials, assessments, emailing faculty and peers, and contacting tutors or module leaders for additional assistance.

- 2. Finding your way to Blackboard via www.dmu.ac.uk Click on My DMU
- 3. Arriving at the sign-on page
- 4. Enter your P number from your student ID card and password (date of birth in the format : dd/mm/yy)
- 5. From MyDMU click on Blackboard on the centre right of the page
- 6. Finding your way to Blackboard via www.library.dmu.ac.uk On the main Library page click on Email, MyDMU & Blackboard
- 7. Or you can type https:// vle.dmu.ac.uk directly into your Browser’s address bar
- 8. From the Library page and from https://vle.dmu.ac.uk you will be directed to the Single Sign-on page

- 11. From the welcome page, select your module
- 12. You can also select the module from the “ My Modules ” tab

- 17. The Ask tab takes you to Staff Information and gives you contact details and availability
- 18. The Learn tab takes you to the materials for the programme Click on the folder you need
- 19. The Assess tab takes you to tests Click on the folder you need
- 20. The Email tab allows you to send messages to programme staff and/or fellow students – click on the relevant group or “ Select Users ” to send to individual(s)
