Introduction My Understanding of IoT 1)Anything that can be connected, will be connected. 2)Virtually endless opportunities. 3)Every object in the world will be a “thing” that is connected to the internet. 4)Objects that can represent themselves digitally becomes something greater than the object by itself 5)The idea that the first version of the Internet was about data created by people, while the next version is about data created by things.

Trends 1)The concept of IoT is expected to create new innovative products and generate additional revenue streams. 2)Of late, Artificial intelligence is being integrated into IoT 3)Healthcare, Housing,Retail,Automotives and transportation are gaining momentum. 3) Improved productivity in certain industries due to efficient resource utilization. 4)Increased R&D investments as compared to past figures. 5)More number of devices are being connected to the internet than before. 6)Low cost connectivity 7)Internet Internet everywhere.

Trends 8)In the coming years, core sectors such as Enterprise, home, government will be benefited. 9)For the setting up IoT , it would lead to never-seen-before infrastructure, for developing countries , generating more jobs. 10)It would lead to tremendous economic impact, a trillion dollar market is expected. 11)IoT’s impact on society : Improved lifestyle, and ease of access. 12)Iot will impact marketing, brands can create loyal customers. 13)It is expected to generate new businesses in the near future
- 6. Interest Areas 1)Interest lies in the Ubiquitous Computing aspect of IoT 2)I would make the best use of IoT to solve pressing societal issues. Ex: a smart dustbin that reminds you to dispose waste on time and at the right place to preserve the sanity of the community. Ex: Women safety application, wherein we can track the location of the woman , along with live updates of her journey. 3)If given an internship in this area, I would like to work on IoT use cases.
