This document describes an IoT-based air and sound pollution monitoring system. The system uses sensors to measure levels of gases like methane, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, as well as sound levels. The sensor data is sent over ESP32 to an online server. The objectives are to reduce costs and control pollution levels. The system provides low-cost, accurate and long-range connectivity to monitor pollution levels in real-time. Future work could include finding relationships between pollutants, improving sensor calibration, and implementing self-calibration and control functions.
