This document summarizes a research paper that proposes an automatic gate crossing and train track crack detection system using infrared (IR) sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The system has two main parts: 1) an automated railway gate control system that uses IR sensors to detect approaching trains and control a stepper motor to open and close the gate automatically, and 2) an automated train track crack detection system that uses IR sensors to detect cracks in the tracks and sends the location data via GPS and GSM modules to a website for monitoring via IoT. The proposed system aims to increase railway safety by automating gate operations and detecting cracks early to prevent accidents, without human intervention.
