This document proposes and evaluates the use of Zadoff-Chu Transform (ZCT) precoding to reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in filtered orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (F-OFDM) and universal filtered OFDM (UF-OFDM) systems for 5G networks. It implements ZCT, discrete Fourier transform (DFT), and discrete cosine transform (DCT) precoding in MATLAB and compares their performance in reducing PAPR, instantaneous-to-average power ratio (IAPR), and power spectral density (PSD) while maintaining bit error rate (BER) for the systems. Simulation results show that ZCT precoding is most effective at lowering P
