This document presents a new technique, termed Tone Reservation and Clipping (TRCL), which combines tone reservation and clipping methods to reduce the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in OFDM systems. The authors demonstrate that TRCL improves PAPR reduction while minimizing negative impacts on transmission quality when compared to classical methods. Experimental simulations are conducted using a WiMAX 802.16e transmitter to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
