This document describes a microcontroller-based speaking system for deaf and dumb people. The system uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller interfaced with a 16x2 LCD display, keyboard with 4 buttons, and ISD 1820 voice module. The system stores pre-recorded messages corresponding to the 4 buttons. When a button is pressed, the associated message is displayed on the LCD and spoken using the voice module, allowing deaf and dumb users to communicate their needs without sign language. The system is designed to simplify communication and reduce misunderstandings.
