Headers and footers allow text to appear at the top and bottom of each page in a document. To add a header that repeats on all pages, select the header and footer option from the View menu. This displays the header and footer toolbar which contains buttons for inserting page numbers, dates, and other elements. Text can then be typed or edited in the header or footer areas before clicking close or double clicking in the document. It is recommended to use print preview to check how headers and footers will appear when printed.
