      Children return to school              There is an unofficial one way system in operation here in Norwood Crescent.
      Tuesday 19th April at 8.55am
                                         This system works extremely well for both schools and for the residents. We also find

                         Astrid gained a merit in her Grade 1 Dancing Exam. Fantastic!
                         Kara has passed her Stage 1 National Swimming Plan Award. Terrific!
                         Georgia has gained a merit in her Grade 1 Piano Exam. Fabulous!
                         Erin has passed her Level 2 Swimming Award. Wonderful!                     Star of the Week

               Last week’s competition was to design a logo for the Arts
                                                                                                6P:Nicholas Butterworth
               Festival. Mrs Goulden has perused the entries and the
                                                                                                5M:Lauren Morgan
               winner is Sol Wilkinson 6C. Congratulations! The winning

    This week’s competition is an annual favourite - the biggest conker competition.

                                 School Councillors                                           Council Elections
                                                                                   Norwood pupils went to the polls on
                                                                                  Thursday 16th September. Candidates
                                                                                          wishing to stand for election
                                                                                   had to prepare & deliver a speech to
                                                                                    their class. (Some politicians could
                                                                                    learn a thing or two!) The children
                                                                                      voted secretly & the successful
                                                                                    candidates were announced in the
                                                                                      Star of the Week Assembly. Mrs
                                                                                   Kenrick is looking forward to working
                                                                                   with the new Council this year. At the
                                                                                  first meeting the Councillors had many
                                                                                   great ideas, so it looks like there will
                                                                                          be a busy agenda this year!
