The progress update summarizes construction work from October 10-23. Excavations began for the new basement and perimeter walls. The building footprint was laid out and pad foundations excavated. Insulation, reinforcement and formwork were installed in preparation for concrete pours. New internal flooring was completed where staircases were removed. Mechanical and electrical work began inside the existing building. Photos showed internal damp proofing of basement walls and drainage installation before concrete pours. Planned work for the next two weeks includes completing the basement slab pour and excavating pad foundations for the ground floor.

- 1. Progress Update (Nr. 3) Week ending 23rd October
- 2. Programme Update - ITS For Period : Mon 10th October – Friday 23rd October - Commence excavations to the new basement area of the extension and muck away - Begin excavations of new perimeter retaining walls - Fully set out new building footprint and excavate necessary pad foundations - Installation of associated insulation, reinforcement and temporary formwork in preparation for concrete pours - Completed new internal flooring infills where redundant staircases removed - Commence first fix mechanical and electrical works within existing building
- 3. Progress Photos – Internal First fix mechanical and electrical works commenced within the existing buidling
- 4. Progress Photos – Internal Damp proof membrane applied to walls within basement
- 5. Progress Photos – Internal Further internal damp- proofing works to basement walls commenced including re-plaster (to 1.5m) where required

- 8. Next Few Weeks……….. A look ahead to works commencing within the next 2 weeks : - Complete excavations to new ground floor slab and perimeter retaining walls - Complete installation of reinforcement to basement slab and concrete pour - Excavate pad foundations to proposed ground floor and install associated holding down bolts in preparation for steelwork - Complete internal damp-proofing works to basement walls - Commence internal builders work and remove remaining load bearing walls: including installing required lintels and steelwork - Continue first fix mechanical and electrical works within existing building to all floors
