Progress Update (Nr. 1)
Week ending 25th September
Programme Update - ITS
Scheme Start on Site : 14th September
Throughout the course of the two weeks we have successfully completed the below:
- Isolated and disconnected the existing mechanical and electrical building services
- Commenced internal strip out and demolitions of the existing building fabric
- Carried out the asbestos removal within the lower ground plant room
- Demolished the existing outbuilding and garage/office areas
- Commenced scaffold to the rear of the building to enable efficient waste removal

A look ahead to works commencing within the next 2 weeks :
- Complete strip out of existing mechanical and electrical building services
- Complete internal soft strip and demolition works
- Remove scaffold & associated rubbish chute at the rear of the building
- Commence external drainage works (including forming new manholes)
- Commence excavation to proposed basement area
- Install temporary propping to basement to assist with excavations

Week ending 9th October
Programme Update - ITS
For Period : Mon 28th September – Friday 9th October
- Fully completed strip out of existing mechanical and electrical building services
- Fully completed internal soft strip, demolition and non-structural works
- Removed scaffold & associated rubbish chute at the rear of the building
- Fully completed cut and carve demolition of structures around rear of building
- Commenced external drainage works (including forming new manhole)
- Numerous trial pits excavated and waste samples collected for review off site; in
preparation for groundworks commencing

- Commence excavations to the new basement area of the extension and muck away
- Begin excavations of new perimeter retaining walls
- Fully set out new building footprint and excavate necessary pad foundations
- Installation of associated insulation, reinforcement and temporary formwork in
preparation for concrete pours
- Commence new internal flooring infills where redundant staircases removed
- Commence first fix mechanical and electrical works within existing building

For Period : Mon 10th October – Friday 23rd October
- Commence excavations to the new basement area of the extension and muck away
- Begin excavations of new perimeter retaining walls
- Fully set out new building footprint and excavate necessary pad foundations
- Installation of associated insulation, reinforcement and temporary formwork in
preparation for concrete pours
- Completed new internal flooring infills where redundant staircases removed
- Commence first fix mechanical and electrical works within existing building

- Complete installation of reinforcement to basement slab and concrete pour
- Excavate pad foundations to proposed ground floor and install associated holding
down bolts in preparation for steelwork
- Complete internal damp-proofing works to basement walls
- Commence internal builders work and remove remaining load bearing walls:
including installing required lintels and steelwork
- Continue first fix mechanical and electrical works within existing building to all floors
