This document discusses the Joint Principles on Adaptation (JPA) and the role of civil society organizations in national adaptation plan development. The JPA aims to ensure vulnerable communities' needs are met in national adaptation planning through participatory and inclusive processes. It also promotes moving from standalone adaptation projects to mainstreaming climate change adaptation. The document then discusses experiences of partners in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Nepal in raising awareness of the JPA, mainstreaming adaptation into operations and development plans, advocating for adaptation funding and projects, and engaging in national adaptation plan consultation processes.
