JulkICTLab is a service development environment for public sector organizations in Finland that provides several services free of charge to selected innovative development projects. These services include an OpenStack cloud computing environment for building digital service prototypes, technical consultants, project management tools, and support for the open product development lifecycle model. The goal is to help public organizations and partners experiment with and develop new digital services for government through an iterative design process.

- 2. To Whom • JulkICTLab is a service development environment for the public sector organizations • Any project that involves a public administration organization may apply for JulkICTLab project. The other parties involved may be, for example, companies, educational institutions, associations, or individual developers. • JulkICTLab is not a funding instrument, each project must have their own budget and funding organized Have you got an idea for a new digital service for public administration, or developing an existing one? Are you looking for somewhere to experiment with your idea quickly and flexibly? Do you want to share your creation with others?

Services • OpenStack cloud service environment, which enables development projects to construct the service development environment they require, in accordance with each project’s own timetable. • Technical expert consultants help with development infra, and case-by-case expert support includes consultation services relating to project content. • Developer and project management tools and guidelines to support R&D • The Open Product Management Model to support the design of new services, • Service design toolkit JulkICTLab is a service development environment that is seeking innovative development projects. Selected projects will be provided all the services free of charge.
