What do we mean by ‘vision’? An overarching view of where and how the school will use ICT tools and resources to enhance learning and teaching and prepare learners for the modern world e.g. ICT is fundamental to daily life in the Third Millennium. Thus it is essential that all learners gain the skills, confidence and abilities to use ICT effectively to learn, communicate and create in order to prepare them for the challenges of the technological world. The use of ICT will enhance and extend learning throughout the school and beyond whilst developing motivation, social skills and safe use of the available tools.
Core ideas ICT is an integral part of modern society and thus an integral part of learning, teaching and parental engagement. Schools need to develop the 3 “I”s: ICT skills of everyone in the school so that they are confident and independent users Interactive learning for adults and children through a wide range of technologies Independent learning for life

Support pupils with special educational needs to increase their independence in all areas of the curriculum. Develop flexible learners able to and take advantage of future developments in ICT. Encourage and enable learners to take greater responsibility for their own learning and provide opportunities for them to: use ICT widely in their work. Talk about their use of ICT and their use of in a range of contexts.
