 Teaching can be described as the sharing of knowledge
or giving instructions on how to do something. This
process mainly involves teachers or instructors.
Primarily, the process of teaching is associated with
classrooms, where theoretical knowledge is provided.
Teaching provides theoretical knowledge on a
particular subject to face future challenges in life.
 H C Morrison:- Teaching is an intimate contact
between the more mature personality and a less mature
one.
 Jackson:- Teaching is a face to face encounters
between two or more persons, one of whom ( teacher)
intends to effect certain changes in the other
participants ( students).
 Training is the practical side of learning. Training
provides people skills required to perform a certain
task. At the same time, it provides hands-on
experience for the learner. Generally, an expert trainer
provides training during a specific time period. Training
is often given outside of the classroom.
 Dale S. Beach -Training as ‘the organized
procedure by which people learn knowledge
and/or skill for a definite purpose’. Training
refers to the teaching and learning activities
carried on for the primary purpose of helping
members of an organization acquire and
apply the knowledge, skills, abilities, and
attitudes needed by a particular job and
organization.
 Edwin Flippo- ‘Training is the act of increasing
the skills of an employee for doing a
particular job’.
 Encourages contacts between students and faculty.
 Develops reciprocity and cooperation among students.
 Uses active learning techniques.
 Gives prompt feedback.
 Emphasizes time on task.
 Communicates high expectations.
 Respects diverse talents and ways of learning.
 Alignment with Our Ethics & Values

Knowledge and curriculum
 To comprehend technology and use it effectively.
 Continuous professional development.
 Educating the present generation for a better future.
 Creating a positive tech-friendly learning environment.
 Enhancing academic performance and helping in skill
development.
 Uplifting social norms prevailing in underdeveloped areas.
 Particularly taking the example of the Indian education system into consideration,
it can clearly say we focus on teaching, training isn’t in our syllabus. When we
draw more attention to training instead of teaching then our students will be more
competent and confident students and their employability will increase.
 Thus, the importance of teaching is there, but there should be a proper and
balanced amalgamation of teaching and training for the bright future of our
learners and an effective education system.
 The main objective behind the study is learning. We constantly learn in our life
from childhood to old age. Teaching and training are no new things but common
methods of learning that not everyone can recognize. Teaching is connected to
learning in a classroom where students are taught theories of subjects and are
given knowledge about the syllabus.
