  • #15: Hyperion Financial Management use a muti-tier architecture that includes a client tier, and application tier and a data tier. The client tier contains the user interface. It communicates with the application tier. The primary function of this tier is to display, enter and maintain data and maintain metadata. The application tier contains the application as well as the report and web servers. The Web server lets you access the Web-architected portions of Hyperion Financial Management. The application server contains the financial intelligence and connections to the relational database and OLAP engine. The data tier contains the relational database for all Hyperion Financial Management application data and source data.
