- 8. Impact At the end of their eighth grade year, students spend a trimester in a stream called IMPACT, which is what I am teaching now. The stream premise is that “we all have a personal and civic responsibility to make an impact on the world in which we live.”
- 9. Private VictoryStudents created a collage to demonstrate their personal mission statement as an IMPACT assignment.
- 10. Service learning project My class is the physical and mental health simulation group. Students are: working on songs to sing at a children’s hospital, collecting money to add a suicide hot line, presenting a drug and alcohol awareness seminar at lunch, and a “Nutrition Rocks” field day during physical education one day.
