for students to have a dictionary on-hand for reference purposes. Students may choose to
leave their dictionary at home, but having them in class proves immeasurably useful
during discussions, vocabulary assignments, silent reading periods, etc. There are a few

the date the assignment is due, and the class period he or she belongs to.
   3. Late work is accepted only for excused absences or when pre-approved by the teacher.
   4. Assignments are due at the beginning of class unless otherwise instructed by the teacher.
   5. Cheating is unacceptable. Students caught engaging in academic dishonesty, including
copying from one another, plagiarizing another’s work, sharing test/quiz information with
other classes, will receive zero credit for the assignment/test in question, sent to the
office, and will have his or her parent(s) called immediately. Further disciplinary action
      will be taken if necessary.
