SEO or Search Engine Optimization, is the practice of optimizing a website to
improve its visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs). The goal of SEO is
to increase organic (non-paid) traffic from search engines, leading to higher
exposure and potentially more conversions.
What is SEO?
SEO works by employing various strategies and techniques to enhance a
website's visibility and ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs).
How SEO work?
Mainly there are three types of SEO. They are:-
❖ Black Hat SEO
Black hat SEO refers to practices that violate search engine guidelines to achieve higher
rankings in search results. It focuses on manipulating algorithms rather than providing value
to users.
❖ White Hat SEO
White hat SEO refers to ethical practices that align with search engine guidelines. It focuses
on providing quality content and a good user experience to achieve sustainable results.
❖ Gray Hat SEO
Gray hat SEO falls somewhere between black and white hat practices. It involves techniques
that aren’t explicitly against search engine guidelines but can be seen as borderline
unethical or risky.
Types Of SEO?
There are mainly three steps in SEO.

➔ Technical SEO
➔ Off Page SEO
Steps Of SEO?
On-page SEO refers to the optimization techniques applied directly to the content and
structure of your website. This includes:-
❖ Content Quality: Creating high-quality, relevant content that provides value to users.
❖ Keyword Optimization: Using relevant keywords strategically throughout the content
(in titles, headings and meta tags) to improve visibility in search engines.
❖ Internal Linking: Linking to other pages on your site to enhance navigation and
distribute link equity.
❖ Meta Tags: Optimizing title tags and meta descriptions to improve click-through rates
from search results.
❖ User Experience (UX): Ensuring a positive experience for visitors, emphasizing easy
navigation and engaging designs.
❖ Mobile-Friendliness: Making sure the site is responsive and works well on mobile
devices.
On-Page SEO
Technical SEO focuses on improving the technical aspects of a website to help search
engines crawl and index it more effectively. Key elements include:
❖ Site Speed: Optimizing load times to enhance user experience and meet search
engine expectations.
❖ Crawling and Indexing: Ensuring that search engines can access and index your site,
including using XML sitemaps and robots.txt files correctly.
❖ HTTPS Security: Using secure protocols to protect user data and build trust.
❖ Structured Data: Implementing schema markup to help search engines understand
the content and context of your pages.
❖ Mobile Optimization: Ensuring mobile compatibility, as more users browse on mobile
devices.
Technical SEO
Off-page SEO involves activities done outside of your website to improve its visibility and
authority. It focuses on building relationships and influence. Key components include:
❖ Backlinks: Gaining quality backlinks from other reputable sites, which signals to
search engines that your content is trustworthy and valuable.
❖ Social Media Marketing: Promoting content through social media platforms to drive
traffic and increase brand recognition.
❖ Brand Mentions: Establishing your brand’s presence across the web, even if not
linked, to enhance reputation and authority.
❖ Influencer & Outreach Marketing: Building relationships with influencers and other
websites for collaboration or guest posting opportunities.
Off-Page SEO
