years,I have workedwithstate andfederal agencies,corporationsandthe private sectorwithafocus
and commitmentonprovidingworldclassservice to the customer.
Making logical decisionsinvolvestakingthe time tobe agood listenereveninthe fast-pacedworldof
businessandworkingunderstressful conditions. Gatherall appropriate informationfromavarietyof
sourcesand thenmake a sound,rational decision.
Duringmy tenure with DanaCorporation,I was responsible formanaging57million insalesforaplant
that produced service andproductionpartsfor heavy-dutyoff-roadmachineryand the automotive
industry. Idevelopedastrategyof Communication,AccountabilityandReliability(CAR) thatbecame the
standardoperatingprocedure forthe plant.Throughthisprocess,myteamwas able torecover6 million
inannual lostsales,increased on-time deliveryfromabout55% to 100%, eliminated all pastdue orders
and recovered 125 K instrandedweekly sales.Asalead of a 5S team,we reduced customerservice
personnel by50%while maintaining highcustomersatisfactionwithan8% increase inannual sales.
While workingforahome improvementstore,Iwaspromotedtosalesspecialistafter onlyfourmonths
withthe company. In thatpositionIwas named topsalesmanonnumerousoccasions.Elsewhere,I have
oftenbeen awardedforcommitmenttothe customerandexceeding the customer’sexpectationsfor
excellence.
My experiencealsoincludesprojectmanagementandworkingunderthe constraintsof adefined
budget.Iservedas fieldmanagerforan environmental impactprojectforthe U.S. Armyof Corps of
Engineers. Witha2 milliondollarbudget, Icompletedthe projectontime andwithinthe fundinglimits.
I am verycomfortable givingtalksandpresentationstogroupsfromlessthantento over150; whether
that isduringcorporate meetingsorto school groupsfor my volunteerwork. Throughmyexperience in
teaching, Ihave developedthe skillstocommunicate clearly withgroups,includinginternational
customersfrom5 differentcountries.Throughteaching,Ihave alsogainedthe abilitytotake a complex
subjectandpresentitina simple andconcise manner. Thisisimportantintakingasystematicapproach
to trainingotherstoperforma task.
