Apple
computers and devices
• On April 1st 1976 Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and
Ronald Wayne established Apple, and in July of that
year the first Apple computer went on sale for
$666.66...

• This morning we are going look at the computers
and devices that Apple make and sell today in
2012. This slideshow was created with Keynote,
an Apple software program similar to Powerpoint.
Apple Inc sell desktop
computers, laptops, the
  iPod, the iPad, the
    iPhone and the
company owns iTunes.
The iMac family are the cream of the crop when it comes to Apple desktop
      computers.

• Top of the pile is this all singing all
dancing 27” monster which will set you
    back a cool €1829 !

• It has a whopping 8GB RAM, 1TB hard
drive, built-in form factor (internals are
    built behind the screen).

• It has the software suites iWork and iLife
    installed as standard.

• Wireless Bluetooth keyboard and
    mouse.
MacBooks.
• MacBooks are the
    entry level for
    many into the
    Apple way of
    computing and
    though they are
    considerably more
    expensive than
    “normal” laptops,
    the reputation and
    reliability of these
    little gems ensures
    they sell in their
    millions every year.
The MacBook Air
        The MacBook Air was first
unveiled in 2008 and is a first
in that it has a solid state
hard drive as opposed to the
        more traditional disc based
        models. What that means is
        that the Air notebook is
        extremely light and is less
prone to HDD failure due to
        no moving parts in the
        storage department.
Mac Mini
The Mac Mini retails for around €700 but does not come with a
monitor. A lot of people use it as a media streamer/server,
connecting it directly to their TV and viewing content directly
from the Internet or from another Apple computer elsewhere in
the home. This device came on-stream in 2005.
Apple TV
     Apple TV

TV like never before
Ipods
                       Portable music player
                       first introduced in 2001

•From the tiny Shuffle which holds 500 songs to
the iPod Classic which can handle 40,000 songs,
there is sure to be one to suit.
The iPad
     •An overgrown iPod Touch?
•Not at all, The iPad can surf
the Web, is touch screen and
     can do most computing tasks.

•It is fast becoming the most
     sought after gadget in the
     world.
Essentially the iPhone
same as an
iPod
Touch...but
it makes
phone calls!
iTunes
The first Apple computer, hand
built by Steve Wozniak in his shed,
during 1975-76

•I like Apple computers...I think
they are far easier to use, last
longer, are free of virus
attacks...the downside for many is
the initial cost of buying into the
Apple Way of doing things.
