This document discusses microlearning for medical science liaisons (MSLs). It defines microlearning as bite-sized learning interactions less than 5 minutes that are intentionally scheduled over time. Microlearning is important because it allows for continuous, spaced learning events to increase engagement and retention. An example is shown of transforming a traditional journal club into microlearning activities. Best practices for microlearning include developing a comprehensive training plan, standardizing content creation for reuse, and using a flexible platform for storage and access. The overall message is that microlearning respects different learning styles and uses repetition and spacing to sustain knowledge over time.
