Immersive Reader • Breakdown by Syllables • Line focus - 1, 2 or 3 shown at a time to reduce visual crowding • Colour coding - Putting different parts of the text in different colours - e.g. nouns in green, verbs in red etc and they can all be labelled • Picture Dictionary • Go to 'View' - 'Immersive Reader' • In the Book Icon - Turn Picture Dictionary on (if unsure see https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/define-words-using-immersive-reader- picture-dictionary-a584d219-2028-4d92-a403-3ec8ea5113af) • Dictate Tool • Students could use the dictate tool for words they know how to pronounce but not to spell. - 5. Here is a test text for you to try out for yourselves. Students can manipulate it, change background colours and listen to it pronounced. All the teacher needs to do is provide the text and then students can personalise it to themselves.
