WHEN YOU ARE STARTING
Minimum Viable Product
The version of a new product that brings back the maximum amount of validated learning
about your customers with the least effort.
4
TRADE OFF
Tricky balance to strike between speed of delivery and quality of execution
5
INTRODUCING
Minimum Lovable Product
The version of a new product that brings back the maximum amount of love from your early
tribe members with the least effort.
6
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
The MVP might validate that people like cake, but it won’t get people talking. The MLP should
validate that people love your cake, will come back for more and tell their friends.
And you’ve still started small.
7
Focus on the Purpose
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
Why are you building this product?
Too often people focus solely on the solution they’re building without really considering why they’re doing it.
1
8
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
Get the core right and you’ll make your life a whole lot easier.
i.e. Instagram
2
Do only 1 thing, but do it well.
9
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
2.1
- we discuss about the new concept/idea
- we find the easiest way to realize it
- we get very excited about it
- we start adding features
- we keep adding features
- the concept and its realization get complex
- the concept gets very complex
- the concept gets too complex
- we look in each others eyes
- we destroy everything
- we get back to the first, easy and immediate implementation
- we are very satisfied
Creative process be like:
Destruction means Creation.
10
Add surprise and delight: Design for emotion.
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
What can you do to create a positive response from your customers? Go above and beyond what’s
expected of you and you’ll reap the rewards.
http://littlebigdetails.com/
Rise above the functional.

11
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like, design is how it works.”
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
3.1
-Steve Jobs
Make it easy for your users to understand how to interact with your product.
And as you do that, make it also a pleasant experience.
12
Get your users hooked
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
4
Activate your users
TRIGGER ACTION REWARD INVESTMENT
Make them do what they are
supposed to do
Give rewards or enable
community to do so
Ask the user to do a bit of work to
improve the next action
Desire to take a picture Snap it, filter it, share it Get likes from community Understand hashtags
EXAMPLE: INSTAGRAM
13
Build a community
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
5
Speak with your users, make them part of the crew.
Ask them what they desire and let them know what you’re working on.
14
Create a feedback loop to empower users
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
5.1
15
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
Be there for your users
5.2
Customers/users support is key.
You want your users to get married with you, not just dating.
16
Always measure everything
MINIMUM LOVABLE PRODUCT
6
Intuitions are great.
Numbers are better.
17
RULE
Build something users love.
It’s better to build a product that few users love rather than one that a lot of people like.
18
THE “LOVE” EFFECT
19
VIRAL LOOP
20
LANDING PAGE
21
EASY TOOLS TO CREATE A LANDING PAGE
22
FOCUS ON LEARNING
Anything can be your Minimum Viable Product, so long as you’re truly focused on
validated learning.
23
FOCUS ON LEARNING
Keep it minimal, but try to understand something from
users: the aim of this two-page MVP was to check
whether people would even consider using the app.
1. Create page with short explanation of your product
2. Insert buttons that you’re going to measure
3. Spread the link and monitor results
3 STEPS
24
LEARN MORE
So we had validated that people probably wanted the
product. The next thing to validate was whether people
were comfortable with paying for such a product.
This was as simple as adding a page in between the two
which showed pricing.
25
GET IN TOUCH
Once you proved your concept, it’s time to build a first
working version of the product.
As you get ready, start creating a dialogue with your
potential future customers, they might be your first
revenues (no need to say that’s 🔑)
