About Moodle
 Free and open source Learning Management System
 Completely Web-based, no software to install
 Lets teachers create course websites and lets students access them
 Course websites can contain class notes, audio/video files, quizzes,
assignments, discussion forums, and much more.

A learning management system (LMS) is an application for
the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and
delivery of education courses or training programs. An LMS
should be able to:
• automate administration
• use self-service and self-guided services – (buffet type service)
• assemble and deliver learning content
• consolidate educational programmes
• support both synchronous and asynchronous learning
• personalize content and enable knowledge reuse
• deliver online training

Entering a Course Site
Open web browser
Go to http://moodle.aku.edu
Log-in with AKU
username and password
(Optional) Create/Update profile
Select Institution +Course Category
Select course site

Creating/Updating Your Profile
(Optional, but recommended) Once logged in, create/update your profile by
clicking on your username on the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will lead
to your profile page where you can edit your profile.

Entering your Course Site
 Once logged in, look through the list of course categories on the main
Moodle page (you are redirected to this page after logging in).
 Click on a course category, then select the course site you wish to enter.
