This document summarizes an experiment using PennzSuppress D, a proprietary dust suppressant and soil stabilizer product, to treat a five-block section of gravel road in Custer, South Dakota. The treated section was bladed, then received two applications of the product at a rate of 1/4 gallon per square yard. A roller was used to compact the surface. After 3.5 months, the treated section showed no potholes and remained tight, while the short untreated section developed numerous potholes. However, the product was not as effective at controlling dust as hoped.
