Mycelx has developed a patented polymer compound that can instantly remove oil from water on contact down to 5 parts per million. The compound is infused into filtration media and placed in compact equipment systems to filter production or process water. It works by binding hydrocarbons into a mass that repels water and clogs the filter without building pressure. The highly efficient Mycelx media allows equipment one fifth the size of conventional systems and does not degrade when filtering clean water.
