This document contains statistics comparing career and technical education (CTE) concentrators and participants to all high school seniors and students in Nebraska. Some key findings are:
- CTE concentrators have higher rates of taking AP/honors courses (34% vs 29%), completing diploma requirements (98% vs 83%), and postsecondary average performance (97.2% vs 70%) than all high school seniors.
- 36% of all Nebraska students grades 7-12 are CTE participants, while only 11-12% are concentrators.
- CTE participants have much lower dropout rates than non-participants (0.4% vs 3.0%).
