A cybersecurity posture survey across 48 institutions reveals that nearly half have a strategic lead for cybersecurity and 58% have dedicated cybersecurity roles. While 52% have a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), only 10% have 24/7 incident response staff, and a notable uptick in cybersecurity budgets since 2015 is observed. The survey also identifies key threats including phishing, malware, and data leaks, while certifications like Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 show varied progress among institutions.
