- #3: The NM50 is a wireless access point or gateway especially designed for demanding rail and automotive applications. Its robust design and reliable data transmission makes the NM50 perfectly suited for vehicle-to-vehicle or vehicle-to-land communication in demanding IoT applications.
- #4: The NM50 supports two WLAN modules and provides reliable high speed internet and local data connection to multiple WLAN compatible devices. A configurable firewall protects WLAN clients and supports secure and uninterrupted internet data access, preparing the hardware for a secure transmission of data in IoT applications. Controlled by up to six possible antenna interfaces (four at the front, two at the rear) via robust RP-TNC connectors the NM50 provides not just fast and reliable data transmission connection, but also diversity and safety of the signal reception, when all are used. A redundant upstream connection to a local server, or downstream to other access points, to extend coverage and increase availability of service, is achieved via the two Gigabit Ethernet ports available on robust 8-pin M12 connectors.
- #5: The electronics of the NM50, based on a low-power QorIQ processor, are housed in a fanless, conduction-cooled enclosure with IP30 protection providing an extended operation temperature of -40 to +85°C. Being designed to operate in harsh environments, the NM50 also withstands shock, vibration, drop, resonance, humidity, chemicals etc. The wide range power supply provides voltages from 14.4 to 154 VDC. Additionally, it meets all the EN 50155 requirements for voltages ranging from 24 to 110 VDC, and is suitable for E-mark certification for automotive applications.
