- 4. To assess the effectiveness of planned teaching program in improving the knowledge and practice regarding plotting of partograph among nurses working in labour room .
- 5. Assess: - In this study assess means statistical measurement of the knowledge on plotting of partograph among nurses as observed from the score based on questionnaire. Effectiveness: - In this study effectiveness means: - Measurement of pre and post test knowledge and practice score.

In this study planned teaching means: - It is self contained instructional activity that allows nurses to progress by themselves at their own pace regarding plotting of partograph. Knowledge: -. In this study knowledge means: - Correct response to teacher to the knowledge items related to partograph in the questionnaire.
- 7. Practice : In this study practice means – Return demonstration of teacher to the practice items related the partograph on observation. Partograph : - In this study partograph means partograph is a graphical record of cervical dilatation in c.m. against duration of labour in hours.
- 8. Nurses : In this study nurses means - Trained person or qualified health personal those who are working in labour room. Labour room : In this study labour room means – In this study labour room nurse a place where conduction of vaginal delivery takes place.
- 9. Finding of the study could aid in the health administration to formulate strict implementation of policy regarding plotting of partograph in labour room. The finding would help nursing student to use the tool for assessing knowledge and practice regarding plotting of partograph among all nurses working in labour room.
- 10. The study could guide in formulation of Self Instructional Module regarding plotting of partograph for all the student at college level.
- 11. Nurses may have inadequate knowledge regarding plotting of partograph. The knowledge will differ with the demographic variable. Planned teaching will improve the knowledge regarding plotting of partograph. Planned teaching will improve the practice regarding plotting of partograph.
- 12. H0 – There will be No significant differences between the pre and post test knowledge and practice scores regarding plotting of partograph. H1 – There will be significant differences between the pre and post test knowledge and practice scores regarding plotting of partograph.
- 13. The study is limit to selected hospitals in BHOPAL Region. Assessment of knowledge and practices Nurses. Only Nurses working in labour room. The study is limited for minimum one year experience nurses.
