This document compares and contrasts the ADDIE and ASSURE models of instructional design. It outlines the steps in each model - Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation for ADDIE and Analyze Learner, State Objectives, Select Materials, Utilize Materials, Require Participation, and Evaluation for ASSURE. Both models can incorporate technology at different stages. While similar in addressing analysis and evaluation, they differ in their approaches to other stages like design and development. The document concludes that these models provide an effective framework for lesson planning.
