The Problem
The most critical value contributor for product
 companies…

                 THE PRODUCT
…is still managed by disconnected, non-integrated silos
                                                   Page 3

Why the Dysfunction?
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) has been slow to
the plate in creating, easy, integrated, Web 2.0 type
solutions. CRM is moving in.

A widening array of point solutions exist covering all the
bases (helpdesk, issues, ideation, requirements, projects
etc.) but they aren’t integrated.

Enterprise solutions that do exist generally don’t mirror
the 2.0 standard of simplicity, ease of use and integration

Enterprise buyers use social media and expect that
simplicity
                                                   Page 5
The Result?

           “Buyers have the choice
         between overly simple point
solutions that are easy to use
           but aren’t integrated or
          custom solutions that are
          overly complex, costly and
        don’t take advantage of new
           social and collaborative
                  capabilities”

                                         Page 6
Gap 1: Innovation Team Problem

“ I need to gather all of the ideas
                 for new products and
            enhancements, analyze, vet and
score them, and turn that into a set
          of recommendations for executive
                     management”
                    TYPICAL PROCESS:
      Activity Tools
Team data gathering Notes, Spreadsheets, Emails
Vetting, Running Polls Surveys, Speadsheets, emails
      Run Analysis Speadsheets
Prepare Proposal for Exec PowerPoint, Word doc
                                                              Page 7
Gap 2: Product Management Problem(s)
“ I need to translate the selected
                                     ideas from customers, partners,
                                    sales, marketing, innovation and
                                   execs, and propose requirements
for the next release … and
                                      somehow maintain ownership.”

                           TYPICAL PROCESS:
  Activity Tools
  Idea inventory/gathering Notes, Spreadsheets, Emails
Vetting, Running Polls Survey app, Speadsheets, emails
  Analyze results Survey app, Speadsheets
Prepare & present proposal PowerPoint, Spreadsheet
                                                                 Page 8
Gap 3: Engineering Management Problem
                 “ I need to ensure that I
                 have all of the necessary
                  requirements, plan and
assign tasks to my team and
                       ensure that all
               defects/tickets are tracked”
                       TYPICAL PROCESS:
    Activity Tools
Technical review of requirements Requirements App, Excel
Planning & assigning tasks PM app
Import tickets into Issue Tracker Spreadsheets, project app
    Deliver user stories Project app
                                                                    Page 9
Gap 4: Helpdesk Team Problem
                  “ The latest release has
                produced a wave of tickets
               and I need to communicate
                 priorities to engineering
asap, and I need to know as
                soon as they are resolved”
                         TYPICAL PROCESS:
       Activity Tools
Gather all related tickets (HD) Helpdesk app
       Export tickets (HD) Speadsheets, Emails
Import to issue tracker (Eng.) Issue Tracker app
       Follow up with Eng. Emails
                                                               Page 10
Gap 5: Project Management Problem
“ I’m over time and over
budget on my project due to
                 unforeseen issues and scope
creep, and I need to account
                  for the discrepancies to the
                           executive”
                       TYPICAL PROCESS:
      Activity Tools
Review all requirements Product Management app
      Validate assignments Emails, interviews
      Run forecast Spreadsheet
Prepare & Submit report PowerPoint, Spreadsheet
                                                          Page 11
The Opportunity

To bring siloed teams together through a user
experience that reflects the simplicity, ease of
use and social connectedness of consumer
apps, with the depth and integration of an
enterprise suite.
