This document provides an overview of Open Policy Network and open educational resources (OER). It discusses how OER can help accommodate the growing number of students in higher education in a more affordable way by allowing resources to be freely reused and customized. OER are teaching and learning materials that can be freely used, modified, and shared. The document outlines the cost savings and benefits of OER compared to traditional copyrighted materials and argues that publicly funded educational resources should be openly licensed to maximize return on investment and access.
