- 2. Static Web Pages Before considering dynamic and interactive web pages, we need to first understand what is meant by a static web page. A static web page will not change, unless the HTML itself is rewritten and republished. It will appear the same each time it is visited. There will be nothing for the user to interact with, other than clicking hyperlinks.
- 3. Dynamic Web Pages A dynamic web page allows content to be updated in real time without changing the actual web page. Some examples of dynamic web pages are: Social media feeds e-Commerce Blogs Bulletin boards
- 4. Interactive Web Pages An interactive web page allows the user to interact with content on the page. This could be: Adding blog comments Posting social media content Playing online games Online surveys Playing music Web-based apps (e.g. online calculators)
- 5. Database-driven Website Many dynamic webpages will connect to a database on a server in order to display appropriate data / content. For example, a product search on an e-commerce web site such as Amazon will send a query for records to the server and the server will then return the query result to be displayed on the web page.
