- 1. Overview of Employee Module in Odoo 17 Enterprise
- 2. Enterprise The employee module is a core component of the HR workspace that helps the business to get the employee activities and details. This would also allow you to get the employee details by acting as a centralized system and accessing, updating, and managing all the other employee data. So let's say after managing the employee module of Odoo 18, the employee organizes a company's employee record contract and department. So, Let's start with creating an employee in Odoo 18. For that, we can dive into the employee module. Introduction
- 3. Enterprise Here we can see all the created employees. By default, the employee dashboard will have the Kanban view. Other than the Kanban, we have tree, activity, graph, pivot, and hierarchy views.
- 9. Enterprise Once an employee is hired, the first step is to create a new employee record. It will have all the details about the employee, including general information, job history, skills, personal information, documents, and more. We can create new employees only from the kanban, tree, and hierarchy views. When we click on the “New” button, it will open a blank form. Here we can add all the required information and create a new one by clicking on the “Save Manually” button represented by a cloud with an upward icon on the top left side of the form view.

- 11. Enterprise The option to add the skills for the employee will be only available if we enable the “Skills Management” field in the configuration settings of the employee module.
- 12. Enterprise Once the details are added, the experience will be added automatically. We can also manually add the skills and experiences in the “Resume” tab.
- 13. Enterprise We have another tab named ”Work Information” to add the work- related details of the employee.
- 14. Enterprise To get the options to manage the attendance, presence, and work location of the employee in the work information tab, we have to enable all the fields that are available in the configuration settings of the module.

- 16. Enterprise Under the private information tab of the employee form, we can manage all the personal information of the employees, like emergency contact, family information, education, etc.
- 17. Enterprise Under the settings tab, we have options to add Employee Status, Related User, Point of Sale pin code, and the Badge ID.
- 18. Enterprise Once we added all the information of a new employee, we could click on the “Launch Plan” button to launch an onboarding plan for the employee. Also, we can manage the contracts, documents, work entries, etc., of the employee directly from the header buttons of the form.

- 21. Enterprise Now let’s check on the other menus in the module. Firstly, we have the “Department” menu. Once we enter, we can see the existing departments and also create them directly. The default view will be in the kanban. But we can view them in the tree and hierarchy views also.
- 22. Enterprise Next menu is Reporting. It has two submenus. “Contracts” and “Skills." Here are the contracting reports. We can analyse them using bar, line, and pie charts.
