- 2. Open Office • Open Office is a free software created by Apache. It allows user to create word documents, presentations and spreadsheets. It is very similar to Microsoft Office and has similar features which can do the same thing. • This will save Mr Earl Atkinson money and will allow him to create letters, documents, databases and promotional presentations.

Click on the download link and a message will popup saying automatic download in 5 seconds and the software exe file will be downloading. 3. Once the file is downloaded a message will popup and click yes to continue the install. 4. Click next, then give the account for Open Office a user name and organisation name and click next again. 5. Choose the typical option to get all the features in Open Office and continue and click install. 6. Once the install is complete click finish and Open Office has been successfully installed.

- 7. Skype • Skype is a free video, voice and message application which is free of charge. It is used internationally by millions of people. There are also additional features in Skype that can be paid for such as Skype credit and video conferences. • This will save Mr Earl Atkinson money and allow him to communicate easily to his co-partners and customers.

As Mr E Atkinson is using Windows click get Skype for Windows. Once clicking on the tab a new window will pop-up and click run, then yes to advance to the setup. Select a language that wants to be used and select ‘run Skype when computer starts’ as this will make it faster to access. This step is optional, if he wants to make Bing his default browser. Next Skype installation will happen and automatically place it in the C drive. After a few minutes the installation will be compete and Skype has been successfully installed and will pop-up.

- 11. AVG • AVG is a anti-virus protection software which protects the computer from viruses and malwares on the internet and files which have been downloaded.

On the website click on the ‘AVG antivirus 2014 free download’ tab. 3. At the bottom of the page click on the download tab to redirect you to cnet.com to get the download link. Now click on the download tab. 4. When a pop-up occurs click run to continue go to the installation. 5. Another pop-up will occur and click run.
