Peeeeerod reflect
- 2. Part 1 First, I wanted to explore if I liked the font I had chosen in my planning. I experimented with the 5 fonts I had chosen and picked ‘ ’ . I think this font looks great on top of the clip as I think it reflects the elegance I am trying to portray in my fashion film. I decided to slightly change the color of the the title and decrease it’s size as I believe brand image is slightly more important if I wanted to sell any of the clothing items I had made. This first shot looks great over all and I’m happy with it.
- 3. Part 2 I was looking through all my footage and reviewing it all and I realized I wasn’t very happy with the lighting over all. Instead of wasting time by retaking footage, I decided to put my Premiere Pro skills in practice and enhance the lighting digitally. I did this by create an adjustment layer and increasing and decreasing the saturation as well as the brightness and color levels. This was very effective. Before After
- 4. Part 3 The next thing I did were these two overlay edits, I planned to do this in my planning and I think it worked effectively, I decided to blur the back ground of the double over lay on the right so the audience would focus on the central image and then, hopefully focus on the design on the shirt. I really like the double shot over lay on the left and love how the muted black central image really contrasts and compliments the outer image, I think it’s really aesthetic and a great stylistic choice!
- 5. Part 4 For the final shot of the first part of my fashion film, I did a dip to black. During filming, I asked the model to move towards the camera and this created a great opening for this transition. I played around with the timings of this transition as I wasn’t too sure if it was long enough and changed it accordingly. The final duration and over all look of this transition is fantastic.
- 6. Part 5 When moving on to my second clip, I decided that I wanted to change the music. I decided this so I could really portray a different ‘vibe’. When I put the two songs together, it sounded way to abrupt. Because of this, I decided to do an audio transition between the two songs to make them flow together effectively. I did this by adding a constant power tap from the effects tap over the two sounds. This worked out really well and although they are two distinct songs, it felt seamless.
- 7. Part 6 For the establishing shot of the second part of the fashion film, I decided to zoom right in. There wasn’t a big reason for this other than aesthetic purposes but I’m really happy with the outcome and believe this is one of the clearest shots in my fashion film.
- 8. Part 7 Admittedly, I didn’t do much with the final shots. I edited the middle shot to be black and white to catch the audiences attention and Increased the brightness of the first shot. I did this because it was the first shot of the clothing I had made and I wanted to draw attention to this.
