This document summarizes research analyzing the performance of an iterative IDMA (interleave division multiple access) scheme for power line communication. The IDMA model simulated uses BPSK modulation with k simultaneous users on a single-path power line channel. Convolution coding with a rate of 1/2 was used at the transmitter. Simulation results showed that increasing the data length and using coding improved the bit error rate performance of the IDMA system over power line channels. Coded IDMA achieved a lower bit error rate than uncoded IDMA.
