This document presents a performance analysis of VoIP traffic over integrated wireless LAN/WAN using different codecs, specifically focusing on quality of service (QoS) metrics such as mean opinion score (MOS), jitter, and end-to-end delay. The simulation results indicate that the G.729a codec outperforms others like G.711 and G.723.1 in terms of MOS value, delay, and jitter, making it a superior choice for VoIP applications. The study utilized OPNET Modeler software to simulate various scenarios and configurations for a comprehensive evaluation.
